Jobcentre advertises job for NAKED LAPDANCER.

Some visitors to the Jobcentre website were stunned to see an advertisement for a 'Naked Lapdancer' advertised in the vacancies section.

The advert advises potential applicants that they must be willing to dance “fully nude”.

Apparently, the job is within DWP guidelines, so acceptable for them to display.

Code: Select all
A DWP spokesperson said: “If a vacancy is legal we have to carry it, however, adult entertainment jobs are clearly marked as not suitable for people aged under 18 and are only discussed with people who enquire about them.

“We have conducted a consultation on the rules and whether and how we can tighten them even further. We are currently reviewing the responses.”

I wonder what would happen if a pretty young lady, over 18 enquired about the job, simply out of curiosity - could they have their jobseekers sanctioned for refusing to lapdance totally naked for money, as it could be argued by the jobcentre that they fit the criteria for the job, and turning down a job they are suitable for can lead to sanctions. Its unlikely to ever happen, but food for thought.
