I find this rather worrying as pretty much everyone on jobseekers will already have a CV (if not multiple versions as each course they get sent on will probably want them to waste time writing a new one) - and not only that the company in question hardly seems to be a good choice to handle CV's when they dont even get the basics of their own business website (letterondemand.com) right on their contact us page.
It is a requirement that a BUSINESS displays their registered company number and address, and a PO BOX is NOT SUFFICIENT.
Letter on Demand do neither, they use a PO BOX, and do not display their reg number.
Not only that, but check out their terms and conditions
7.2 We are not liable in any circumstances for special, indirect or consequential loss or any damages whatsoever resulting from loss of use, loss of data or loss of revenues or profits, whether in an action of contract, negligence or otherwise, arising out of or in connection with your use of Our Website or the purchase of Services.
7.3 In any event, including the event that any term or condition or obligation on our part (“Implied Term”) is implied into these conditions by law, then our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law, to the value of the goods or services you have purchased.
So if you get sent on a DWP paid for course, and get FORCED to use the service, and they go and accidentally release your private details, and full CV to the world - they reckon they wont be liable?
